Mitos has expanded its DuraPure™ Bag line to an integrated fluid-handling system designed for durability and purity. When creating a DuraPure Bag System with our customers, we not only consider the bag, but every component that surrounds it (storage vessels, tubing, molded junctions, sanitary fittings, peristaltic pumps, filters and valves). Each system is also designed to seamlessley integrate with the rest of your process, whether it is going from media prep to cell culture, or from ultrafiltration to final fill.

Molded Manifolds 
With custom-designed manifolds, Mitos Technologies, Inc. molds imagination into reality. Whether a foot-long piece of tubing with sanitary ends or a manifold with over 20 junctions, Mitos can mold single- or multi-use systems tailored to your application. Our proprietary technology allows for any configuration of Ys, Ts, crosses, reducers and elbows, with unlimited lengths between molds.
Each mold is molecularly bonded to the tubing by cross-linking of the elastomer chains. This permanent connection prevents product loss and contamination commonly experienced with hose barb failures. Internally, molds are seamless and crevice-free to eliminate entrapment areas and potential contamination.
Molded manifolds can be created out of mitos-P, mitos-C, mitos-R, and STA-PURE® tubing, or a combination of all styles. For more detail on molded Tri-Clamp® ends. Mitos molded manifolds are fully validated and delivered with a Certificate of Conformance.

Mitos FREE FLOWTM Valve 
Mitos Technologies' patented FREE FLOW™ valve is the only valve designed specifically for the biotech industry. Available in stainless steel or titanium, each FREE FLOW™ valve has a tubing element with a single-wetted surface that eliminates seams, crevices and entrapment areas, making it the cleanest valve in the industry.
How It Works
The simple action of the Mitos FREE FLOW™ valve mirrors that of a peristaltic pump. When activated via a pneumatic or manual actuator, the flexible tubing element inside the body is squeezed shut. When reopened, the element presents a completely unobstructed flow path for fluid transfer. This straight-through bore significantly reduces shear in the process line and allows full drainage from any position, eliminating the need for complex installation.
The Tubing Element
All FREE FLOW™ tubing elements have molded tri-clamp ends with integrated gaskets to reduce seams between gasket faces, providing unsurpassed cleanability via SIP/CIP or autoclave. The standard element for the Mitos FREE FLOW™ valve is STA-PURE® tubing, a unique composite of platinum-cured silicone and Teflon®. Platinum-cured silicone elements are also available for manifold or single-use applications. For added chemical resistance, elements can be made from CHEM-SURE™ tubing.
